The Democracy Bus 2021 aimed to inspire over 100 Victoria College students to use their voice to help shape the future of Jersey.
What happened:
Students took part in a quiz about the 2020 Government Plan; looking into where and how public money was spent.
We then asked students: “If you had £1 million of taxpayers money to improve the Island, what would you spend it on?” In groups they pitched their ideas to the wider group. A democratic vote then took place to decide on the winning idea, which would be the driving force for the designs of the 2021 Democracy Bus.
Key themes:
- Create a more diverse range of public transport
