Today is by-election day

Today, Wednesday 28 July, St Clement’s parishioners will take to the polls to vote in a new Connétable.

The polling station is at St Clement’s Parish Hall and will be open from 8am until 8pm. Strict public health measures will be adhered to, including a one-way system, physical distancing, hand sanitisation stations and mandatory mask wearing. Parishioner who are unwell or isolating tomorrow can contact the Parish Hall to arrange for a home visit to cast their vote.

The manifestos of the two candidates, Simon Bree and Marcus Troy along with a recording of the live online hustings can be found on Vote.je.

Parishioners are reminded to take photo ID with them in order to receive their voting paper and the result will be published live on the Vote.je website and social media platforms this evening.
